Highly regarded as a successful entrepreneur, Ms. Thomas is distinguished as the owner of Victory Home Center, LLC, a manufactured and modular home retailer serving customers across Louisiana. Notably, Victory Home Center is the only single female-owned manufactured home dealership in the state, making Ms. Thomas a pioneer in her field. In addition, Ms. Thomas is a licensed cosmetologist who has owned two hair salons for the past 14 years.
Ms. Thomas started in the manufactured home business in 2000 with her then ex-husband. She bought out his share of the business and renamed the company to Victory Home Center LLC in 2018. Since entering the field 23 years ago, Ms. Thomas is pleased to say that she has seen it grow considerably more diverse; customers come from different backgrounds, and the manufactured homes themselves have also modernized. She sees this as an indication that the industry's future is bright, and she is excited to be part of it.
An independent thinker, Ms. Thomas finds inspiration in the story of Penny Chenery, the late owner of the famous racehorse, Secretariat; although everyone was against Ms. Chenery, she believed in herself and her horse to such a degree that others' opinions didn't matter. Ms. Thomas' goal is to inspire and make a difference in any person's life that can relate to her story. She wants it to be able to change lives and prove that all you need is your faith, your dream, and your will!
While she has achieved numerous professional achievements, Ms. Thomas considers her greatest accomplishment to be her daughter, a gift from God. Outside of work, she enjoys boating and supporting the local community. In the coming years, she hopes to see her story inspire more people.
