Leveraging more than three decades of excellence in rheumatology, Dr. Weber has earned distinction as an assistant professor of internal medicine and rheumatology for Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. In this capacity, he focuses his efforts on seeing patients while mentoring medical students within the office setting. Dr. Weber teaches rheumatic disease to first year medical students in a classroom setting. He also serves on the clinical elective review committee, reviewing proposed clinical electives to determine whether they are viable. He is also a valued member of the New Jersey Rheumatism Association.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Weber earned a Doctor of Medicine from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Mexico in 1981. He then completed a residency in internal medicine from Jersey Shore University Medical Center in 1985 and underwent a fellowship in rheumatology at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts. Well-qualified in his field, he is certified in internal medicine and rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Additionally, he was admitted as a fellow to the American College of Rheumatology.
Within the coming years, Dr. Weber intends to conduct research in the field of longevity. Many of the diseases of aging are related to inflammation, the management of which, is at the crux of rheumatology. Advances in this area would not only extend the life span but would also greatly improve the quality of life as people age.
