As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Drawing on over five decades of diverse expertise, Ms. Faulkner specializes in textural acrylic and landscape art. Since 2020, she has found much success as the professional artist of Gayle Faulkner Fine Art. In this capacity, she creates textured acrylic paintings using a palette knife on a canvas and incorporates modeling paste and acrylic gels.
In her career related endeavors, Ms. Faulkner has served as a speaker at the Pleasant Valley Art Association, and various local and regional venues. She has also exhibited her artwork at the ArtsKC Gallery in Kansas City, the Las Laguna Art Gallery in California and the Amsterdam Whitney Gallery in New York. Additionally, her work has been published in numerous magazines, including the Art in America Annual Guide, Observica, Exhibizone, Artistonish and Gallerium, among other publications. Her work was included in the book Current Masters 6, and the soon-to-be-released books ATIM'S Top 60 Masters 2022 and International Contemporary Masters, Important World Artists 6. Ms. Faulkner was also the Top Featured Artist in ATIM Magazine.
Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Faulkner pursued an education at William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri, where she earned a bachelor's degree in sociology in 1969.
Well regarded for her contributions to the field, Ms. Faulkner has won numerous awards including the Award of Excellence from the Spotlight Foundation and inclusion in their magazine and website. She has participated in various juried exhibitions. Additionally, her work has been presented all throughout the United States, and in private and corporate collections around the world. Among her professional accomplishments, she is proud to have been recognized as a featured and an emerging artist by several galleries where her work has been shown. Reflecting on a long career, she attributes much of her success to her hard work, the support of her family and friends, and her ability to share her art with the world. Looking toward the future, Ms. Faulkner aspires to expand and refine the scope of her craft and hopes to have her artwork displayed globally.
