Drawing on over 15 years of expertise, Mr. Braz specializes in railway signaling system controls. Since 2022, he has found much success as a testing, installation and commissioning manager at Alstom in Miami, Florida, where he initially served as a testing, commissioning, and engineering manager, and the head of engineering for São Paulo Line Five and Monorail Line 15 in Brazil from 2021 to 2022. In this capacity, he supervises the train signaling system controls and the communications-based train control (CBTC) driverless system to ensure passenger safety. Additionally, Mr. Braz is responsible for managing test procedures to guarantee that the contractual and system safety requirements are met, overseeing installation operations, managing a team of 12 employees, ensuring quality field work and handling administrative duties.

Mr. Braz initially began his career working as an intern at Novopiso SA Revestimentos and the Inatel Competence Center. Following this post, he was active as a test and commissioning engineer at Capgemini Engineering, formerly known as Altran, from 2010 to 2011. Between 2011 and 2013, he garnered expertise as an engineer for the São Paulo Line Four Project at Siemens. Subsequently, Mr. Braz contributed to Bombardier Transportation, now acquired by Alstom, where he served as a test and commissioning engineer and a signaling test manager from 2013 until 2017, before advancing to the post of a testing, commissioning and engineering manager from 2017 to 2021. At Bombardier, Mr. Braz worked in two major CBTC projects in Latin America: São Paulo Line 5 – Purple and South America´s first mass-transit Monorail Line 15 – Silver, that were in construction at the same time. The Monorail is the first project in the world to use Bombardier Innovia 300 Technology.

Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Braz pursued an education at the Francisco Moreira da Costa Technical School of Electronics in Brazil, where he completed coursework in electronics in 2003. He continued his academic efforts at the National Institute of Telecommunications, earning a bachelor's degree in engineering in 2009, followed by a Master of Business Administration in market intelligence and business management from the Saint Paul Escola de Negócios in 2020. As a commitment to his field, Mr. Braz has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the Brazilian Engineering Council.

Among his professional accomplishments, Mr. Braz is most proud of his career in the railway industry and of his ability to contribute to the development of innovative railway systems that provide convenient and seamless public transportation. Reflecting on his achievements, he attributes much of his success to his wife and her mother for their support and encouragement, and to his empathy, commitment and pursuit of knowledge, as well as his engineering and leadership skills.
