Drawing on over a decade of expertise in the field of medicine, Dr. Yaghmour specializes in blood and cancer focused on cellular stem cell and immune therapy. Since 2022, he has found much success as the associate director of the allogeneic stem cell and cellular therapy program in the Department of Medicine at the University of Southern California (USC) Keck School of Medicine, while concurrently serving as their associate professor of clinical medicine as of 2022. In this capacity, he teaches in the medical school, mentors residents, fellows, and junior faculties and conducts research and clinical trials on hematologic malignancies, stem cells and immunotherapy. Additionally, Dr. Yaghmour is responsible for drug development, cancer treatments, transplants and immune therapy for rare diseases, blood cancers, leukemia, and lymphoma.

Dr. Yaghmour initially began his career in the medical field with an internship in pediatrics at the Louisiana State University Health Science Center School of Medicine, where he served from 2009 to 2010, and received the distinguished TOP resident award. He then went on to complete his fellowship in hematology/oncology and blood and bone marrow transplantation (BMT) at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. After the completion of his formal training in 2016, he was appointed to the position of Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine, as a board-certified full-time faculty within the Division of Hematology. He subsequently completed his residency in internal medicine at the Wayne State University Henry Ford Hospital in 2013, followed by a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the West Cancer Center of the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center (UTHSC) in 2016. Additionally, he participated in the blood and bone marrow transplant program at Methodist University Hospital of UTHSC from 2015 until 2016. Between 2016 and 2021, Dr. Yaghmour garnered expertise as an assistant professor of clinical medicine at the USC Keck School of Medicine.

Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Yaghmour pursued an education at the University of Aleppo Faculty of Medicine, where he earned a Doctor of Medicine in 2008. As a commitment to his field, he is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology. Additionally, he has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, the American Association for Cancer Research and the American Society of Blood and Marrow Transplantation, among others. Likewise dedicated to civic advocacy, Dr. Yaghmour raises funds for the leukemia and lymphoma charities.

The National report found that his contribution and leadership in the field drove the adults' allogeneic transplant clinical outcomes to be recognized as the best one-year survival rate in the state of California for 2018, 2019, 2020. In fact, in 2020, USC had the highest one-year survival rate (88.50%) in the nation surpassing a previous record of 80.10% set 2019. Well-regarded for his contributions to the field, Dr. Yaghmour has received multiple awards, including the Excellence in Professionalism Award from the USC Keck School of Medicine in 2018, the National Mayo Clinic Annual Travel Award in 2016 and the Southern California Top Doctors Rising Stars Award from Los Angeles Magazine since 2017. Among his professional accomplishments, he is most proud to have exerted a positive impact on the lives of his patients through his specialty. Reflecting on his career, he attributes much of his success to his dedication, consistency and passion.
