Taymor Rashidi began in his initial profession in the 1980s. Rashidi is a manager and specialized engineer who has contributed 37 years of his expertise to the Aerospace & Defense industries. Taymor has been specialized in Electromagnetic Environmental Effects, Military Aircraft Electrical Power System and TEMPEST (test and design pertain to US National Security Agency (NSTISSAM/1-92). In 1980s – 1990s, Taymor obtained his initial specialty training in the Aircraft Avionics Systems and Survivability/Threat Analysis when he worked for Lockheed Martin Skunk Works. He has worked on highly classified Lockheed programs (1) stealth tactical fighter aircraft F22, (2) AC-130 gunship, and (3) Antisubmarine Warfare (ASW) Aircraft S3 (California and Georgia). One of his perceived awards from Lockheed Martin was when he completed research assignment and published the report "an alternate design concept of aircraft protection against Nuclear Electromagnetic Pulse." He has published 10 classified and unclassified reports when he worked for Lockheed. He is a senior EMC Design Engineer acknowledged in NARTE (National Association of Radio and Telecommunication Engineer) EMC-001942-NE since 1992. In 2011, Rashidi was an adjunct professor for 2 years at DeVry University where he taught an EE engineering course. He has taught EMC short training classes in IEEE platform.

Mercury Mission Systems
2011/2013 to present, Taymor hold a managerial position along with the companywide responsibility of technical design, analysis and testing for (1) Electromagnetic Environmental Effects, (2) Electromagnetic Compatibility Design Reviews, (3) Military aircraft electrical power system and (4) TEMPEST engineering. Taymor's major accomplishment at Mercury Mission System was that he has built about $10M test lab from ground-up to the operational in compliance with international standard ISO/IEC-17025 while demonstrating technical competency to manage and operate the about $10M specialty engineering design and testing of (1) Electromagnetic Anechoic Chamber, (2) Aircraft Electrical Power test lab, and (3) the classified TEMPEST lab. He was the Principal Investigator and Author of research projects (1) DoD award $4.2M, subject "Lightning direct strike protection solution used graphene for Missile Defense Agency. Research proposals on subjects of (2) RF transparent shielding solution for the windows of the Navy ships. (3) Electromagnetic Interference/RF jammer location finder solution for Air Force.

Northrop Grumman Corp.

Rashidi worked for Northrop Grumman Corp 4/10/2004 to 10/21/2011. As a senior specialty technical lead, he was responsible to review spacecraft systems requirements and design specifications. For example: solar arrays, battery charging/discharging units, power unit distribution, and power converters. He was responsible for EME activities that include spacecraft Lightning protection design; Grounding, Bonding, Shielding, ESD and Lower Orbit Corona/Plasma effects on spacecraft electronics. He has performed system level EMC testing such as High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) testing. He has published 15 unclassified technical report when he worked for Northrop Grumman.

The Boeing Company
Rashidi worked for the Boeing Company from 2/21/1997 to 4/9/2004 as a Technical Electromagnetic Radiation Lead. He was responsible and has contributed as a specialty engineering to the Boeing programs (1) International Space Station (ISS), (2) RS68 Spacecraft Rocket Engine, and (3) Space Shuttle Main Engine. His major historical highlight was that he has obtained NASA's special assignment to execute specialty engineering investigation assessment on the Space Shuttle main engine of the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster during the launch of STS 107 disintegration in February 1, 2003. He represented the Boeing Electromagnetic Environmental Effects technical board meetings that were held between NASA, Boeing and other international partners (Europe, Japan, Russian, and Canada) where the objectives of the meeting were to resolve the ISS requirements and specification issues and conceive solutions or proposed waivers justified either by analysis or testing. He has published 18 unclassified technical report when he was working for the Boeing company. He received 5 technical awards when he worked for Boeing.

Education
Rashidi holds a B.S.E.E degree with an additional emphasis on mathematics from the University of Maryland-College Park, Maryland.

He holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Missouri – Rolla. His thesis was on the subject "Aircraft Antenna-to-Antenna Electromagnetic Interference Analysis using Fuzzy Logic."
