Marquis Who's Who Recognizes Peter A. Krikes, PhD, for Excellence in the Arts and Entertainment Industry

    LOS ANGELES, CA, March 07, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Peter A. Krikes, PhD, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Having retired in 2016 after more than 35 years in the industry, Dr. Krikes was a renowned writer, producer, screenwriter, and co-chair with Steve Meerson of Avenue B Productions. Among his most notable accomplishments, Dr. Krikes co-wrote the screenplay for "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home," with Steve Meerson in 1986, which was a science fiction film based on the television show "Star Trek" and the fourth feature installment of the "Star Trek" franchise.

In a very complex role, screenwriters are notably tasked with an enormous amount of responsibility that involves writing all the material that will be viewed on screen, from the dialogue to stage direction and everything in between. They also routinely specialize in one specific genre. Despite the competitive nature of the industry, Dr. Krikes became very well-known for his creativity. He was also very passionate about his work and coming up with new ideas and storylines.

Some of Dr. Krikes' other writing projects included "Anna and the King" in 1999, "Double Impact" in 1991, and "Back to the Beach" in 1987. He was also the co-executive producer of "Yoga Hosers" in 2016.

Apart from his commitments in the arts and entertainment industry, Dr. Krikes taught several different courses as a professor at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles between 1980 and 1985.

Avid about giving back, Dr. Krikes frequently donates to various nonprofit charitable organizations such as the Union Rescue Mission of Los Angeles, the Wounded Warrior Project, Doctors Without Borders, and UNICEF. He also donates to various political causes and children's hospitals.

Dr. Krikes received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of California in Los Angeles. He subsequently garnered a Doctor of Philosophy in communications/cultural history from the University of Southern California.

To remain abreast in his field, Dr. Krikes is a member of The Writers Guild.
