With several years of excellence to his credit in ministry, Rev. Dr. Martin has found success as the leader of his own business. In this capacity, he is the owner of Spiritual Enlightenment Learning Foundation, LLC. Since 2018, he has focused his efforts on seeing people coming in for counseling services while taking care of the shop and ensuring they have the supplies they need. Specializing in tarot card readings, he sees many young people from his community who are struggling with peer pressure and adjusting to their social and spiritual lives after the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, he is a member of Universal Ministries.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Rev. Dr. Martin earned a bachelor's degree in 1981 and a Master of Science in Marine Biology in 1983, both from Florida State University. He then earned a Doctor of Theology and a Doctor of Ministry from Universal Ministries in 2017. In recognition of his excellent work, his business, A Year and a Day Mystical Shoppe, was selected for the 2022 Best of Asbury Park Award in the Metaphysical Supply Store category by the Asbury Park Award Program.
Within the coming years, Rev. Dr. Martin intends to transition his business into a non-profit with the goal of helping the homeless in his community as well as those who are working towards learning how to recognize, accept and utilize their individual gifts. Having been spiritual since his youth, he strives to be open, honest and helpful when guiding people.
