Leveraging more than two decades of excellence in digital tax development, Ms. Nolan has earned distinction as the director of regulatory affairs with H&R Block. Since 2010, she has focused her efforts on leading two teams that review the individual and business tax legislation passed over the previous years, documenting any changes in the business requirements for the new tax season. She also maintains and manages a collaborative relationship with the state department of revenue and the operation side of the IRS. Among her professional accomplishments, she is proud to have received a CEO Award in 2010.
Outside of her primary career efforts, Ms. Nolan served on the board of directors for the Women's Network H&R Block. She also was a government liaison committee chair for the National Association of Computerized Tax Processors, having served as president of the organization from 1999 until 2005.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Nolan began her career with H&R Block as a software developer in 1995. She was a manager of federal and state tax development in 1997, serving in a similar role for digital tax development starting in 2003. Following this time, she was promoted to an industry operations manager in 2005and undertook a role as the manager of online digital systems the same year. She continued her career as the director of digital tax solutions business integration in 2007.
While developing her professional journey, Ms. Nolan earned a Bachelor of Science in computer-based information systems from Park University in 2003. She then attained a Master of Business Administration in the executive program from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Bloch School of Business in 2005. Well-qualified in her field, she is certified as an enrolled agent.
