Leveraging more than three decades of excellence in foreign exchange trading and sales, Mr. Passman has currently earned distinction as a lead treasury analyst for Aero Alliance. In 2016, he joined GE treasury leading a team executing intercompany settlements and spot FX. After moving on within treasury to an M&A role he joined Aero Alliance, a joint venture with GE Power and Baker Hughes, a fulfilment company for aero-derivative engines, spare parts, repairs and maintenance services.
Mr. Passman began his career in 1979, five years after the floating of the US dollar joining an international bank in Detroit. He spent the next 14 years working extensively with corporate clients hedging foreign exchange exposure and trading for several regional banks culminating as a Vice President Trading FX for Amsouth Bank. In 1993 he moved his family back to Detroit joining the National Bank of Detroit FX Sales and Trading. After three bank mergers ending as JP Morgan, he took a similar role in 2008 with US Bank Capital Markets until joining GE.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Passman earned a bachelor's degree in political science and government from Wayne State University in 1978. Within the coming years, he intends to continue his work and remain in his field until he is ready to retire.
