A seasoned dental expert with years of expertise in restorative dentistry, crown and bridge work, implant restoration, and more, Dr. Fetterhoff worked as a dentist with Fetterhoff Family Dentistry between 1973 and 2022. During the early stages of his career, he gained valuable expertise in the field as a clinical instructor at the University of Pennsylvania's Dental School and through an internship at the University of Pennsylvania, which he completed during the early-1970s. Outside of his work, Dr. Fetterhoff was a member of the board of trustees of the Medical Bureau Board for over 40 years, with the last many serving as president. He also contributed to his community through Market Square Concerts and volunteered with development at the Homeland Center for many years, having been nominated and elected to the Board of Trustees in 2021, where he currently serves.
Before embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Fetterhoff earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Pennsylvania in 1967. Subsequently, he received a Doctor of Dental Medicine from his alma mater in 1971. Driven to remain abreast of ongoing industry changes, he aligns himself with the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the Harrisburg Area Dental Society. In light of his professional expertise, Dr. Fetterhoff was named an Intern of the Year during his internship and has been inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.
While his career has been filled with highlights, Dr. Fetterhoff takes the most pride in being a dentist because it gives him the ability to change a person's perspective of themselves and their self-esteem. Toward the end of his career, he helped an older gentleman with many pairs of dentures that didn't fit. For just $350 dollars, he was able to fix them and give the man his smile back. The cornerstone of his success lay in his satisfaction and gratitude. In the coming years, Dr. Fetterhoff aims to have gratitude, enjoy life, and continue to give back to his community.
