Since 2021, he has focused his efforts on working with a dozen different fire alarm installation companies, fire alarm suppliers and electrical contractors to provide a complete set of fire alarm system blueprints and schematics. He has installed multiple fire alarm systems for the Ohio State University dorms and buildings, including Blackwell Hotel, south campus high rises and the Ohio State University stadium. He has also supervised project installation efforts to ensure projects are completed to company and NFPA standards in commercial, educational, healthcare and industrial facilities, including supervising a team of 18 field techs with separate disciplines in fire alarm, security and building automation controls.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Bennett began his career as a system installer, inspector and service technician for Siemens in 2000 and was promoted to a fire alarm systems estimator in 2005. He was further promoted to a senior fire alarm design engineer in 2007, to a project manager in 2018 and to a service operations manager in 2019. Following this role, he served as a senior fire systems design engineer until leaving Siemens to establish his own business in 2021.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Bennett earned certification using Wheelock (Cooper Industries) products, VESDA air sampling smoke detection systems and for PXL, SXL, MXL, MXL VOICE, XLS, XLS Voice, Fire-Lite Systems, Desigo, Desigo CC and NCC fire alarm systems. He is also fire alarm system design certified and holds several fire alarm designer license. Additionally, he is a valued member of the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies. Within the coming years, Mr. Bennett intends to grow his company, which he has built up from scratch. Accounting for his success, he credits the high quality of his work.
