Leveraging more than a decade of excellence in veterinary medicine, Ms. Phillips has earned distinction as the owner of Action Vet Tech Services, LLC. Since 2019, she has focused her efforts on running the entirety of the company, filling in shifts when needed. Additionally, she is a valued member of the North Carolina Association of Veterinary Technicians and the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Phillips began her career as a Registered Veterinary Technician for the Animal Emergency and Critical Care Center of Toledo, Ohio in 2004 and was a supervisor for Carolina Veterinary Specialists in 2011. She then was a supervisor and Registered Veterinary Technician for the small animal emergency department of the North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. Following this time, she was an account manager with Andersen Products in 2015 and an area sales manager for vetOvation in 2018.
Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Phillips earned a certification in massage therapy from the Alexandria School of Scientific Therapeutics in 2001. She then attained an Associate's of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology from Stautzenberger College-Maumee in 2008. She also gained a performance leadership certification from North Carolina State University.
Within the coming years, Ms. Phillips intends to expand her business, as they are working towards bringing more expert training and CE resources to hospitals and their staff. She and her team are also planning to utilize more shared skills and practices to become better technicians and educate their clients effectively. Passionate about her field, she enjoys working in emergency clinics and critical care units and has loved animals since she was a child helping with her grandmother's horses. She was able to channel her love of animals into her own business, growing over time to a team of 40 employees and over 100 hospital accounts with further growth on the horizon.
