As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Crochrell is distinguished for five years of dedication to Madison School District #12, where she serves as program director. In this role, she draws on her expertise, honed in both religious and secular organizations, in running programs that serve families in need. In addition to these official responsibilities, Ms. Crochrell is also a dedicated volunteer, having served more than 30 homeless and misplaced students in her school district. Of her many professional and civic achievements, she is especially proud of helping to send children to Springfield to participate in a competition, an opportunity they would not have had otherwise.

Nebo Missionary Baptist Church, where she is also evangelist, trustee and deaconess. Additionally, for more than 20 years, she has served as the volunteer executive director for Quiet City Community Development Center. Before venturing onto her vocational path, Ms. Crochrell obtained an associate degree in business management from Ashworth College and completed coursework in early childcare, early childhood and teaching, and architecture and interior design. She holds a certification in food handling.

Well regarded for her contributions to the field, Mrs. Crochrell is a two-time recipient of the Martin Luther King Award. Other honors include the Woman of Distinction Award from YWCA, Excellent Service Award from Peacekeepers MLV, Customer Service of Excellence Award from Addis Home Health, and recognitions from Soup and Share, the Madison County Housing Authority, and the State of Illinois 2020 Census. She is active with the Eastern Star Bright Hope 86, sits on the board of the Joe Roberts Youth Club, and holds leadership positions with Citizens for Change, Peacekeepers MLV, YWCA of Eastern Illinois, Madison County, Human Relations Committee City of Edwardsville, 26 Precinct Committee Person of Edwardsville, SIUE and the Madison County Housing Authority.

The daughter of a preschool teacher, Mrs. Crochrell was born in Shreveport, LA and raised in California, and today she's married with two sons of her own. She attributes her success to putting God first and always treating others with kindness. In the coming years, she hopes to start a nonprofit organization to help young people and older adults with mental and physical struggles.
