Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Arens presently excels as an attorney for the Law Offices of Dale A. Arens. Since 2015, he has specialized in estate planning and probate law, estate and trust administration, and conservatorships. Previously, he worked as an associate for the Law Office of Norman Y. Blaz beginning in 2003, practicing in the same areas of law. Prior to that he was an owner of a service station and automobile repair facility. During the early stages of his career, Mr. Arens also dedicated himself to his country in the U.S. Army Reserve, and achieving the rank of major. From 1971 to 1974 he was an active duty infantry soldier in the U.S. Army.
Driven to remain abreast of ongoing industry changes, Mr. Arens is affiliated with several legal organizations, including the California Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the San Fernando Valley Bar Association, and the California chapter of The Esquire Network, through which he is a probate group facilitator. Outside of his work, Mr. Arens contributes to his community through the Center for Spiritual Living and as a volunteer with the Los Angeles Superior Court Pro Bono Probate Settlement Program.
Before embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Arens earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting and related services from California State University, Northridge. Subsequently, he completed coursework for a master's degree in accounting, earned a JD from Loyola Law School at Loyola Marymount University, and received a Master of Laws in taxation from his legal alma mater. While his career has been filled with highlights, he takes the most pride in achieving his dream of becoming a lawyer and studying psychology and participating in seminars on men's and women's growth, which enhanced his work with mental health conservatorship.
The cornerstone of Mr. Arens' overall success lay in his perseverance and his belief in himself. When he was 13 years old, he and his family lived in a one-room shack in Arkansas. It was then that he said to himself, "There has to be more to life than this," and worked toward an escape. Looking ahead, he intends to maintain his practice. Ultimately, Mr. Arens aims to continue helping the elderly and individuals with mental health issues, as well as fostering the next generation of lawyers as a mentor.
