PHOENIX, AZ, April 04, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Farris Adoniss Williams has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. For more than 15 years, Mr. Williams has succeeded in health care and sterile processing, responsible for all aspects and stages of disinfection and desterilizing equipment for use in the medical industry. Presently a sterile processing manager II for STERIS Instrument Management Services, STERIS Corporation, since 2017, he ensures that all logistics are in place and meeting industry standards and regulations. As a manager, Mr. Williams also provides mentorship and instruction to employees throughout the department.
Mr. Williams began his career as an instrument technician and sterile processing department (SPD) coordinator at the Detroit Medical Center in 2007. He also served as an SPD manager at McLaren Lacomb Medical Center in Mount Clemens, Michigan, and in the same capacity at several local Methodist hospitals. Furthermore, Mr. Williams was a central sterile processing technician and Center for Surgical Outcomes Research manager at Tucson Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. Looking toward the future, he aims to earn mentorship from senior leadership to secure a leading role as a hospital administrator.
To prepare for his career, Mr. Williams received an Associate of Science in sterile processing technology at Wayne County Community College District in 2008. He also achieved a bachelor's degree and master's degree in health care administration at the University of Phoenix. Additionally, Mr. Williams received credentials as a certified registered central service technician through the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) and leadership certification through the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).
Mr. Williams is a professional member of the HSPA and the CBSPD. In recognition of his accomplishments, he received a Leadership Plaque from the University of Mississippi in 2021. Mr. Williams was subsequently interviewed and featured in two articles about a medical center in Colorado in 2022, recognizing the contributions and value he brought to the project as a contracted employee. Mr. Williams attributes his professional success to his perseverance and his detail-oriented nature.
