Since 2022, he has focused his efforts on utilizing his goal-oriented nature as well as his experience with diverse kinds of people and cultures to develop effective strategies for the company's marketing and finance initiatives.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Gesto began his career as an auditing senior with Ernst & Young in 1994 and joined The Coca-Cola Company in Brazil in 1997 as an internal auditor supervisor. He continued his career with The Coca-Cola Company as a controller assistant in 2000, an accounting manager in 2001, a corporate finance manager at Coca-Cola Guararapes in 2006 and as a planning, budget and pricing manager in 2008. He was subsequently promoted to a regional director controller for Brazil and south Latin America in 2013 and became a financial and performance insight director in 2017 working in South Africa for more than five years.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Gesto earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil in 1997. Following this achievement, he attained a Master of Business Administration from Ibmec, a private research university in Brazil, in 2004. Well-qualified in his field, he holds certification in negotiation as well as strategy and management for competitive advantage. He also completed the Coca-Cola LEAP 2.0 Harvard Program with Harvard Business Publishing Corporate Learning.
Within the coming years, Mr. Gesto intends to rise to a role as the chief financial officer for The Coca-Cola Company, having spent his career there with this goal in mind. In the near future, he plans to take a senior manager position, developing his leadership skills as he engages in this endeavor.
