Acevedo Limontas with inclusion in Who's Who in the World. An accomplished listee, Rev. Acevedo Limontas celebrates many years of experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected based on current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all considered during the selection process.

Following a distinguished tenure in education and administration in public school systems and academic settings, Rev. Acevedo Limontas became exclusively involved in the nonprofit sector. As the co-founder, president, and chief executive officer of Angela's GEMMS Inc. since 2016, which stands for Global Education and Multilingual/Multicultural Services, she works alongside her husband, Mr. Fitz Gerald Limontas, the organization's director, and vice president, to provide various services to underprivileged women, children, elders, and families in Haiti that have been displaced due to earthquakes, socio-economic status, and other troublesome events. Angela's GEMMS Inc. was officially established as a nonprofit organization in 2019.

Additionally, Rev. Acevedo Limontas has been a Board Member of The South Florida Haiti Project since 2018 (VP 2019-2023), an organization dedicated to addressing students' educational and humanitarian needs at the Bon Samaritan School in Haiti, located in an area with limited infrastructure.

Apart from her nonprofit leadership efforts, Rev. Acevedo Limontas is a Deacon in the Episcopal Diocese of Southeast Florida. Rev. Acevedo Limontas notably spent more than three decades in education, as a teacher and an administrator for Orange County Public Schools, Florida International University, and the Palm Beach County School District in Florida. She also taught courses at Florida State University, Palm Beach Atlantic University, and Nova Southeastern University. The University of Florida contracted her as one of the writing team members of the first Florida Teacher ESOL examination. Rev. Acevedo Limontas focused extensively on English as a Second Language (ESOL) for students in K-12 and Adult/Vocational/Community Education, Workplace Education, Alternative Education, and Charter Schools.

She also wrote and managed $15 million of competitive educational grants between 1981 and 2011, including Training Teachers about English Language Literacy, Full-Service Schools, and the Primary Language Literacy Project. During her tenure, Rev. Acevedo Limontas developed a case study model for adjudicated and non-adjudicated ESOL youth in prisons, detention centers, and alternative programs so they could receive equal educational opportunities.

Possessing a rich educational background, Rev. Acevedo Limontas received a Bachelor of Arts in English Language Education with a minor in Spanish in 1972 and a Master of Education in English in 1977 from the University of Central Florida.
