Rob Rainer has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

Robert Rainer is recognized for his expert leadership of multiple foundations

His non-profit organization supports projects that are designed to educate people on important health issues.

MARBLEHEAD, MA, April 19, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rob Rainer has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Leveraging more than three decades of excellence in forming and volunteering for non-profit entities, Mr. Rainer has earned distinction as the leader of numerous foundations. He is a co-founder with what.NGO, a 501(C)3 non-profit organization that supports projects that are designed to educate people on important health issues. He focuses his efforts on developing the non-profit, growing it into an organization that is capable of helping people internationally. Through what.NGO, he has co-founded programs such as StompOut Tobacco, the Hotline Directory, PostICU and HelpUnited. Outside of his primary career efforts, Mr. Rainer serves as a senior partner with Xsquare Technology and is a co-founder for Rainer Agency, Hashtag Dialing Codes, LLC, StarStar Hotlines, Inc., USA Outdoor Sports DirectDial.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Rainer began his career as a lawyer. The focus of his practice was representing lead paint poisoned children. Rainer's firm was credited with paving the way for a significant reduction in the incidence of lead paint poisoning, which in 1989 the Centers for Disease Control called the most serious epidemic facing children living in urban areas of the United States. Rainer designed a method for his firm to handle these types of cases in a high volume by systemizing the litigation process. This made it possible for his firm to file an unprecedented number of cases in court, even on low volume lead paint poisoning cases. Rainer also successfully argued that the Massachusetts lead paint poisoning law was enacted to provide damages, even if there was no incidence of lead poisoning. He argued that since additional lead poisoning blood draws were required under the law, if lead paint was found in an apartment rented to a family with children under the age of 6, those blood draws constituted compensable damages. Rainer's firm garnered a national reputation as a result of countless stories in national news journals and magazines. His unique litigation methods combined with outstanding marketing, including an Annual Lead Poisoning Awareness Day, which was authorized by Mayors of the City of Boston and Governors of the State of Massachusetts over a 10 year period during the 1980s and 1990s, Rainer locked down his firm's national reputation in the legal community as the owner of the preeminent lead paint poisoning law firm in the country by holding well-attended annual national training seminars, attended by lawyers across the country. At these 3-4 day seminars, Rainer shared his litigation and marketing methods and invited other leading national lead poisoning experts to speak.

In 2014, Rainer transitioned from the law to positions in academic roles and non-profit leadership. Among other positions, he served as a professor for the International University of Leadership Group of Rabat-Salé-Kenitra in Morocco from 2017 until 2022. The change away from practicing law was necessitated due to a sudden severe illness, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), which resulted in a 5 week coma and two months in the intensive care unit (ICU). Following Rainer's stay in the ICU, he underwent a long period of rehabilitation. Oxygen deprivation caused an injury to the executive function area of his brain, which significantly limited the hours he was able to work and made it impossible for him to handle and/or try cases any longer. Ten months after his ICU stay, he was diagnosed with post intensive care syndrome (PICS). Because of this diagnosis he had the good fortune of being referred to two preeminent PICS experts, at Brigham & Women's Hospital for his follow up care. His interest in learning more about PICS and assisting other former ICU patients, who are unaware that they likely suffered from PICS, resulted in him being offered a co-project manager position at After the ICU, a PICS project based at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Working on that project inspired Rainer to found PostICU, Inc. a patient-centric, nonprofit, which uses technology platforms to educate people worldwide about PICS.

Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Rainer earned a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from Brandeis University in 1984. Following this achievement, he attained a Juris Doctor from the Suffolk University Law School in 1987. Among his professional accomplishments, Mr. Rainer is proud to have been named one of the 25 Most Influential Lawyers of the Past Quarter Century in Massachusetts. He was also honored with a Teaching Excellence Award from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs in 2020. In 2021, Rainer registered two patents in his field, "Interest Based Social Interaction System" and "System and Method for Intuitive Search Syndication."
