Previously, he worked as an integral member of the LinkedIn team as a staff software engineer and software engineering manager. During the early stages of his career, Mr. Vijayanathan gained valuable expertise in similar positions with Qualcomm, Blackberry, and War Drum Studios, where he pursued an internship in game development.
In conjunction with his work, Mr. Vijayanathan volunteers as a mentor for such organizations as Everwise and Women Entering and Staying in Technology. He was also a part of LinkedIn's REACH and Women in Technology programs. Driven to stay abreast of changes in the field, he aligns himself with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the Association for Computing Machinery. An expert in his field, Mr. Vijayanathan holds a Bachelor of Technology in information technology from Anna University and a master's degree in computer engineering from the University of Florida. Subsequently, he continues to expand his knowledge through various certifications.
Due to his vast breadth of knowledge, Mr. Vijayanathan has contributed to such publications as "Characterizing Emerging Markets: An Evaluation of TCP congestion control with real Internet traffic over HTTP2," "Delay Tolerant Social Networking," and "High-Performance Grid Computing and Security Through Load Balancing."
