Michael D. Noyce attended the Colorado School of Mines, thereby introducing him to programming coursework. Becoming fascinated with the subject of programming, he subsequently received an associate degree in nuclear technology from Wilber Wright Community College and a bachelor's degree, cum laude, in computer science from the University of North Dakota. While in pursuit of his advanced degrees, Mr. Noyce was active with the United States Air Force.
