    SOUTH FALLSBURG, NY, May 04, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Charleen Verena Kavleski has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all considered during the selection process.

Leveraging more than four decades of excellence in fine arts and art education, Ms. Kavleski has earned distinction as an antiques and art dealer. In this capacity, she has worked with Albatross Antiques and Art in South Fallsburg, New York since 2009. Additionally, she has served as a board member for the Amos Eno Gallery since 2014 and is a valued member of the National Association of Women Artists, Inc.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Kavleski began her career as an art teacher for the Monticello Central School District in New York in 1968. During this time, she was an art advisor and art editor for the literary and art magazine of Robert J. Kaiser Middle School within the district until 1999. She also served as an antiques and art dealer for Brockmann's Antique Center from 1983 to 2009. She is also a member of the New York State Art Teachers Association, the NYSRTA, the Catskill Art Society, the National Museum of Women in the Arts and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation.

An accomplished artist in her own right, Ms. Kavleski showed her works in an exhibition for the Shimizu America Corporation and gave a solo exhibition at the West Broadway Gallery in 1982. Over the course of her career, she has shown her work in The Haggin Museum in 1985, The Butler Institute of American Art in 1987, the Three Rivers Art Festival in 1986 and 1989 and in the Mohawk-Hudson Regional Exhibition of the Schenectady Museum Association in 1989. She was also featured in numerous other exhibitions and shows with the Sullivan County Historical Society, the Plotkin Gallery and the Amos Eno Gallery, among several others. Ms. Kavleski has had 17 New York City solo shows.

In recognition of her stellar talents, Ms. Kavleski was featured in Millennium Magazine, the Great Neck Record and in "The New York Art Review." She was commissioned by notable patrons to create installations of painted constructions, including Dr. Gustav Gavis in 1994, Dr. Goddard Lainjo in 1995 and Christopher Coleman Interior Design in 2013. Her work was also featured in the Great Neck Record and in the Temple Emanuel of Great Neck in 1997, later earning recognition from the Sullivan County Democrat in 1997, 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2007.

Among her professional accomplishments, Ms. Kavleski was featured in the 125th National Association of Women Artists Exhibition and by the Mondak Art Society in 1984. She won first place for her creative installation at the Nepenthe Mundi Emerald City Classic in 1987. She was honored with a Miriam E. Halpern Memorial Award in 1994 and a Clara Shainess Memorial Award in 1996, both from the National Association of Women Artists, Inc. In 2016, she also received a National Association of Women Artists Award and she was presented with an Elizabeth Horman Memorial Award for Digital Art in 2014.

Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Kavleski earned an Associate of Arts in 1963 and an Associate of Applied Science in 1964, both from Orange County Community College. She then did coursework at the Herron School of Art and Design of Indiana University in 1964 and attained a Bachelor of Science from New Paltz, SUNY in 1967. She subsequently completed graduate coursework in fine arts at New Paltz, SUNY in 1972.
