Mr. Evans has enjoyed more than 30 years of success as a senior auditor for the United States Environmental Protection Agency's Office of the Inspector General. A talented student, Mr. Evans showed early promise and was named the top accounting student in his high school. Inspired by the advice of a neighbor and mentor, he decided to continue to pursue his passion in college and enrolled at Prairie View A&M University, where he completed a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting. After completing his education, Mr. Evans immediately began working with the federal government, and he accepted a position with the Environmental Protection Agency in 1991.

He describes his professional philosophy as remaining open-minded and curious about what each new audit might teach him and constantly asking "how, why, what, and when" during the audit process and in new situations. During his career with the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Mr. Evans has been recognized for his high standard of performance and commitment to growth with Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medals for outstanding auditing performance.
Mr. Evans credits his success to his interpersonal skills and to the drive instilled in him growing up as the seventh of nine children raised by a single mother. He is proud to have built a stable and long-term career in governmental administration that has allowed him to support and spend time with his wife of 35 years, his three adult children, and ten grandchildren. To stay ahead of developments in his industry, Mr. Evans is a member of the Institute for Internal Controls and the Institute of Internal Auditors, and he is a proud alumni member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. In his personal time, he enjoys watching sports, traveling, attending concerts, and staying fit by swimming and lifting weights.
