NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC, May 05, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- William Hancock has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

After finding a passion for drafting in high school, Mr. Hancock, while progressing from Jr. draftsman to senior designer and supporting his family, attended fourteen years of night school gaining a Mechanical Design Certificate from Stevens Institute in 1956 and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering at Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1965. Monday following, was promoted to project engineer at Ingersoll Rand's R&D Laboratory where he developed the first fluidized hospital bed for burn patients. In 1970 he restarted his career with IBM. For more than two and a half decades, Mr. Hancock progressed from staff engineer to Safeguard Program test director to Systems and Software Cost Engineering department manager and then into program management on Sonar Training Systems. After retirement he consulted on several contracts and for five years taught program and project management classes at NASA sites across the country.

Alongside his consulting work, Mr. Hancock has fostered a passion for writing, authoring the "M1 Brothers Trilogy," (M1 Brothers, Unfinished Business, and End Game books) which take the reader back in time to the early-1950s into 1970s with the main character, Charlie Canfield. CC, as he is known to those around him, stems from a long line of soldiers and warriors whom he hopes to emulate. With the help of cunning spies and military pawns, Mr. Hancock weaves a tale filled with adventure, espionage, humor, courage, and honor amidst a true-to-life historical background.

While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Hancock takes the most pride in developing the first fluidized hospital bed for burn patients in 1967 and numerous satisfying activities at IBM and while consulting. The cornerstone of his overall success lay in his drive to do better and his love of a challenge. Looking toward the future in retirement, Mr. Hancock hopes to make a few more good golf shots to go with his one hole in one.
