Backed by years of expertise in government administration, Mr. Sims presently is an arbitrator for the United States Postal Service-National Association of Letter Carriers Regular & Expedited Panels. Prior to obtaining his current role, Mr. Sims was the Assistant to the President for Contract Administration for the National Association of Letter Carriers. In that role he worked as an instructor, facilitator, and contract administrator for NALC at the Headquarters level.
During the early stages of his career, Mr. Sims gained valuable expertise in the field as a Regional Administrative Assistant in the Saint Louis Region, the local president of NALC Ozark Mountain Branch 203, as a member of the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations released staff for the Kerry/Edwards campaign, and a member of the McCaskill for Senate campaign.
An expert in his field, Mr. Sims holds a Bachelor of Arts in history and a Bachelor of Science in education from Missouri State University, and completed postgraduate coursework in guidance and counseling, and public administration. While his career has been filled with highlights, he takes great pride in having successfully represented employees in the workplace, as well as teaching the fundamentals of public speaking at the National Association of Letter Carriers' Leadership Academy, which allowed him to contribute to the professional journey of countless students. Looking ahead, Mr. Sims intends to continue to contribute to the industry that he loves in his current role as a neutral labor arbitrator.
