In addition to compiling sketches, diagrams and 3D renderings, she frequently meets with architects, engineers and construction contractors to generate a collective vision for new projects. Ms. Brown is particularly proud to have played an instrumental role in Bergmann's renovation of a large Ohio-based warehouse into a functional commercial space.
Alongside her responsibilities as a project interior designer, Ms. Brown currently excels as a color guard instructor for the marching band of Medina High School in Medina, New York. Likewise, she has served in this capacity with Gates Chili Color Guard Inc. for more than 10 years. Moreover, Ms. Brown has found further success as a color guard caption head for the White Sabers Drum and Bugle Corps in Rochester, New York since 2019.
Following the completion of her undergraduate degree, the Rochester Institute of Technology celebrated Ms. Brown with the "Outstanding Undergraduate Scholar Award." She attributes a great deal of her success to the guidance of her former mentors at Hanlon Architects, where she broadened her creative skill set as well as her professional network under the tutelage of numerous widely renowned interior designers. Ms. Brown additionally credits her stellar reputation to her ability to foster productive collaborations with different types of people.
In the coming years, Ms. Brown intends to devote more attention towards pursuing projects that prioritize sustainability and environmental awareness. She also aims to continue sharing her expertise with her younger colleagues. Due to the tremendous knowledge she obtained from her mentors, Ms. Brown vehemently advises aspiring interior designers to carefully observe the work of their professional superiors during the early stages of their careers.
