Well regarded for his expertise in the restaurant industry, Mr. Herskovets lends 28 years of industry experience to his role as director of franchise operations for Angry Crab Shack, a full-service restaurant specializing in seafood and boils with bold Asian-Cajun flavors. Drawing on his innate ability to communicate with others and get the best out of people, Mr. Herskovets implements procedures for the restaurant's 23 locations to ensure the excellence, consistency and success of the brand.
Prior to joining Angry Crab Shack in 2022, Mr. Herskovets successfully managed operations in a range of dining establishments, both independent and franchised. Most recently, from 2019 to 2022, he was regional director of operations for Kahala Brands and Kahala Franchising LLC, where he oversaw training and development of partners, helped to develop expansion strategy, and engaged in performance management activities of staff. Previously, he held management and foodservice positions with Hash Kitchen, The Sicilian Butcher, Grimaldi's Coal Black Brick Oven Pizzeria, Tutti Santi Italiano Ristorante and Romano's Macaroni Grill.
Of his numerous professional achievements, Mr. Herskovets is especially proud of his successes in supporting and mentoring employees that report to him. Before entering the franchise world, he put multiple individuals on the path to becoming general managers; now, as his career has progressed into franchises, he uses that same skillset to help his partners grow and succeed. A positive and dedicated worker, he attributes his success to the work ethic instilled in him by his grandfather, John Molittieri.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Herskovets earned an associate degree in business administration and management from Glendale Community College in 2001. He is ServSafe certified. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and sons, John and Daniel, golfing, and volunteering at the Phoenix Children's Hospital.
