With more than two decades of excellence in education leadership and policy creation, Dr. Farmer has earned distinction as the head of school for Berean Baptist Academy. Having joined the school as a history teacher in 2002, since 2013, he has focused his efforts on leading four different schools' principals while managing the business operations, ensuring that the school functions according to operational policy and safety. He guarantees student services are running properly and the finances are managed correctly to provide the best possible academic experiences.
Outside of his primary career efforts, Dr. Farmer lends his expertise to the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. Additionally, he serves as the head baseball coach and cross country coach for the school and is a teacher for the adult Sunday school class for Berean Baptist Church. Also dedicated to civil advocacy, he volunteers with local food banks and conducts missionary work in the Dominican Republic.
Before starting his private career, Dr. Farmer served honorably as an air traffic control radar technician for the United States Army National Guard in 1989. He became an infantryman for the 1st Cavalry Division and 1st Armored Division of the United States Army in 1993 and remained in this role until 2002. In recognition of his dedicated service, he received the Expert Infantryman Badge from the United States Army in 1995.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Farmer earned a Bachelor of Theology in 1998 and a Master of Theology in 2003, both from Andersonville Seminary. He then attained a Master of Education from Liberty University in 2009 and a Doctor of Education from Trident University International in 2020. Well-qualified in his field, he holds numerous professional certifications, including an advanced certificate in school leadership management, among others. He is also an ordained minister and an all-levels principal with the Association of Christian Schools International. Within the coming years, Dr. Farmer intends to continue rising in his career, with the goal of teaching higher education to help mentor the next generation of education professionals.
