Prior to her current position, Ms. Kumbaro spent three years in a similar role as director of asset management for Longroad Energy Partners, and between 2017 and 2019, she was the Vice President of residential asset and risk management for the Greenbacker Group.
She began her career in 2005 as an analyst for Universal Ensco and held accounting and financial analysis positions before moving into the renewable energy sector in 2011 as Assistant Vice President of asset and risk management for Enfinity America Corporation. Ms. Kumbaro held a leadership role at TerraForm Power and was part of the management team that successfully completed the company's Initial Public Offering. She led Integration efforts of acquired companies globally and asset management team that set up business operations for supporting community solar.
Ms. Kumbaro graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston and earned her Master of Business Administration in finance and sustainability from San Francisco State University in 2011. She continues to pursue professional growth and continuing education as a member of industry groups including Women in Cleantech and Sustainability and Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy.
As part of her commitment to making an impact on the global community through her work, Ms. Kumbaro has served as an advisor for the National Center of Community Services and GRID Alternatives and spent four years on the board of directors of the United Nations Association of East Bay.
