Drawing on his distinguished tenure in the field, Mr. Saieed served as the associate vice president and the Northern California public works operations manager at Michael Baker International in Walnut Creek, California, from 2017 to 2023. He was also a senior project manager, senior associate, and Northern California QA/QC manager at T.Y.Lin International in San Ramon, California, between 2006 and 2017. Furthermore, Mr. Saieed found success as a design engineer at HMH, project manager at The Pressure Grout Company, project engineer and manager at Hydar Consultants, and site engineer and project engineer at Tramac International, dating to 1985.
Mr. Saieed earned a high school diploma in Kurdistan. He subsequently received a Level-A Diploma in mathematics and physics at Khlanakhly College in the U.K. in 1981, a Bachelor of Science in civil and structural engineering at the University of Wales in the U.K. in 1985, and Caltrans certification for federal-funded projects.
To remain well-informed in his industry, Mr. Saieed is a professional member of the American Public Works Association, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the American Council of Engineering Companies.
In light of his accomplishments, Mr. Saieed received accolades from several cities and counties throughout California, including a Best Project Award for his contributions to several streets in Oakland, California, and a prize for his work on the Interstate 880 Safety and Operational Improvements at 23rd and 29th Avenues.
