    MONTEREY, CA, May 22, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Stephanie Cooper has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Ms. Cooper is an established conference interpreter and translator of more than two decades. Her working languages are French, English and Spanish. Her niche specialties have enabled her to provide clients, including government entities such as the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Department of Justice, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, with her services. Ms. Cooper has also frequently worked with several United Nations-related organizations, including the Permanent Mission of the OIF (Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie) to the United Nations, the World Health Organization, the United Nations Children's Fund, and the United Nations Development Programme.

She typically provides interpreting services for three events per week. She also translates documents anywhere from 1,000 to 2,000 words daily. Although her interpretation services primarily take place in person, she has also been available via RSI platforms such as Zoom, which became more popular during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ms. Cooper has been a Visiting Professor at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey since 2012. On a part-time basis, she has taught several courses including Simultaneous and Consecutive Interpretation, Translation I and II into French, Practicum in Interpretation, and Translation and Interpretation as a Profession. Ms. Cooper finds great satisfaction in helping her students succeed. She has also worked with several former students who have become accomplished staff or freelance interpreters and translators.

Ms. Cooper's professional background included serving as a localization supervisor and French technical translator for First Databank where she led the French and Spanish translation department.

Throughout her career, Ms. Cooper had the opportunity to translate for the Beijing Olympic Games. She also interpreted for the Tokyo Olympic Games and President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and heads of states from Latin America as part of the CEO Summit of the Americas, and for the French Minister of Ecology during the United Nations Week in New York. In the private sector, she interpreted and translated for a large number of notable technology companies including Facebook, Apple, Tesla and Google. For over 10 years, Ms. Cooper interpreted major live events for television such as The Red Carpet coverage for the Oscars, Emmy, Grammy, Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and People Choice (PCA) Awards as well as the Metropolitan Museum Gala (the "Met Gala").

Ms. Cooper has also been known for lending her expertise for the greater good. She has volunteered as a translator for the Reef Environmental Education Foundation, Island Dolphin Care, the Francophone Charter School of Oakland, and the San Francisco Film Society.

Born abroad, she received a Spanish literature and civilizations licensure with a minor in English literature at Paris X Nanterre in France. Ms. Cooper earned a Master of Arts in translation and conference interpretation at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey. She plans to further her education and career by pursuing a master's degree in education in the future.

To remain aware of developments in her field, Ms. Cooper is an associate member of The American Association of Language Specialists (TAALS). She is also a member of the American Translators Association (ATA).
