CLARENDON HILLS, IL, May 22, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Wayne F. Moquin with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Moquin celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Moquin led a long and successful career with Encyclopedia Britannica as a writer, editor, and employee of the organization's board of editors, Mortimer Adler, a well-known author, speaker, and longtime mentor, between 1965 and 1995. During the 30 years he was employed by the century's-old English-language publisher, he compiled and edited extremely well-received materials. Attributing his success to his writing skills, Mr. Moquin noted, was instrumental in his longevity in the field. Apart from his contributions to Encyclopedia Britannica, he spent more than 40 years as a freelance indexer of economics textbooks at McGraw Hill Education, a renowned educational publisher, until 2019. During an earlier stage of his career, Mr. Moquin spent several years learning the industry with a small publishing company in Minneapolis.

As a seasoned researcher, Mr. Moquin garnered expertise in education, history, economics, philosophy, immigration, studies, theology, and more. He also traveled from state to state, collecting books and documents on ethnic groups, which he was passionate about.

Mr. Moquin is a prolific author, recently releasing "Romantic Reveries: The Revolt Against Reason in Christianity, Government, and Human Nature" via WestBow Press in 2019. The book received attention at local book fairs and recently caught the attention of Icon Productions, which Actor Mel Gibson co-founded. Among other books, Mr. Moquin published "A Documentary History of the Mexican Americans." Recognized as the first volume ever published on Mexican Americans, it also received rave reviews from The New York Times. Besides authorship, Mr. Moquin has served in various editorial capacities, including the four single-volume works and the 10-volume "Makers of America" for Encyclopedia Britannica, which also received excellent reviews in The New York Times.

All of Mr. Moquin's books have been presented in a manner that challenges how people think. His writing style has also focused on trying to bridge the gap established by poor education and prejudices with the public's understanding of the political and economic issues of the world.

As a part of his civic commitments, Mr. Moquin has volunteered his time as a teacher of Bible classes at his home parish in La Grange, Illinois.

Mr. Moquin studied theology at the Luther Seminary in Saint Paul, the largest seminary of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. He previously received a Bachelor of Arts in history at Augustana College in 1952. To remain aware of developments in his field, Mr. Moquin has been a member of The Ludwig von Mises Institute for Austrian Economics. He is also a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society.
