Ms. Doud is a manufacturing and human resources expert celebrating nearly 30 years of success in her field. She has been with Arconic, an aluminum supplier, since 2017, when she joined the company as a human resources manager. As human resources manager, Ms. Doud was responsible for managing employee performance, leadership training, and assisting in union labor relations for more than 120 employees. She transitioned to the plant manager role in 2021, assuming responsibility for daily operations, deliverables, and navigating changes in staffing, scheduling, and supply chain management.
Prior to her work with Arconic, Ms. Doud spent nearly 20 years with Alcoa, Inc., where she occupied a variety of process and personnel supervisory roles. She was hired as an operations supervisor in 1998 and rose from first-line supervisor to managing more complex manufacturing processes and teams, including anode assembly and electrode process flow leader positions. Ms. Doud eventually served as superintendent of the company's electrode department, smelting and aluminum services, responsible for an annual budget of more than $800,000 and a workforce of over 150 employees. In 2012, Ms. Doud became a human resources superintendent for Alcoa, Inc., a position she held until her departure from the company in 2017.
Ms. Doud holds a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from the State University of New York College at Potsdam and a Master of Science in engineering and global operations management from Clarkson University. As a part of her commitment to professional growth, she has pursued several additional credentials, including DDI Certified Master Trainer and DDI Certified Facilitator endorsements, and in 2013 she completed a Master's certificate in human resources through Cornell University. As a leader in her field, Ms. Doud contributed as a subject matter expert to "Employer's Playbook for Building an Apprenticeship Program," and has served as president of the board of directors for the Greater Massena Chamber of Commerce since 2020. She is the recipient of the 2022 Step Ahead Award from the Manufacturing Institute, among other honors, and is extremely active in community and industry charitable outreach efforts. In the near future, Ms. Doud looks forward to transitioning out of her current role to focus on manufacturing and human resources consulting.
