Ms. Meyers is a financial services and banking executive with 20 years of experience in her field. She began her career journey at a young age, starting as a part-time bank teller for Valley Bank & Trust while still a high school student at MVAO. Ms. Meyers continued to work at Community National Bank to help pay for college, and between 2005 and 2008, she served as a Community Banker, departing when she graduated to join Freedom Financial Bank. Over the next eight years, Ms. Meyers excelled as both a Retail Manager and Branch Manager for Freedom Financial Bank. In 2016, after moving back to her hometown to raise a family, she became an Assistant Vice President for Valley Bank & Trust, now known as First Security Bank. In 2023, she accepted her current role as President/CEO of First Security Bank.
In her current position, Ms. Meyers is responsible for executive-level PR and management, in addition to assisting with all facets of banking tasks that include, but are not limited to, writing loans, opening accounts, general banking operations, assisting in Trust and Farm Management and working with clients, both internal and external Ms. Meyers holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance with an emphasis in Financial Management from the University of Northern Iowa. She is a graduate of the West Des Moines Leadership Academy, class of 2011. She is a licensed real estate salesperson, crop insurance agent and credit life insurance agent in the state of Iowa. Ms. Meyers is proud to have worked her way up from an entry-level role in her industry and to have learned from working at every level of bank operation. She is involved in leadership and advocacy in her community and sits on the Danbury Youth Recreation Board as the board Treasurer. Ms. Meyers is a member of the Iowa Bankers Association and hopes to increase her involvement in the organization in the coming years, with goals to serve on its board someday. In her personal time, Ms. Meyers enjoys spending time with her husband, Paul, their four children and extended family. Ms. Meyers was quoted as saying that she would not be able to accomplish what she can daily without her husband, Paul. He truly is the rock that continues to hold their household together and allow her the chance to make all her professional achievements possible.
