Additionally, Mr. Giron completed coursework in publications management, printing and marketing at prestigious institutions such as The George Washington University, American University and the University of the District of Columbia between 1984 and 1986.

Mr. Giron has proudly accepted numerous national and international awards on behalf of Gival Press, including the 2009 National Best Book Award for Fiction and Literature: Anthologies presented by USA Book News for "Poetic Voices Without Borders"; he counts his role in editing the text as his most notable achievement thus far. He has also been recognized for individual achievements; for example, Montgomery College recognized him with the Faculty Outstanding Service Award in 2002 and 2011, and in 1997 and 2002, he accepted the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development Excellence Award from the University of Texas at Austin. Finally, Mr. Giron received the Special Faculty Recognition Award from the Montgomery College-Takoma Park Humanities and Social Sciences in 1990.

Mr. Giron is a prolific writer in his own right and has been published in a variety of outlets; titles attributed to him include the poetic compilations "Recuerdos," "Impressions françaises" and "Metamorphosis of the Serpent God," all dating to 1999. Additionally, in 2001, he published the acclaimed "Songs for the Spirit."
