In this capacity, he is currently working closely with the Executive Leadership team of Serenia Life regarding a Corporate PMO and the Chief Executive Officer of Land Pass regarding Start Up Company Systems Consulting. Previously, Mr. Quigley worked as the Head of Application Management for Manulife Financial Canadian Division, through which he maintained responsibility for $160 million budget for hardware, software, storage, and processing charges for the Canadian Division, and a Project Portfolio of nearly $19 million.
During the early stages of his career, Mr. Quigley gained valuable expertise in the field as a Senior Director of information technology for Sunlife Financial and as the head of Corporate Systems for Clarica Financial. Likewise, he has worked for such companies as Mutual Group Insurance, Canada Trust, the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, and London Life Insurance. Throughout his career, Mr. Quigley has overseen production support and application development for more than 400 applications, reduced costs considerably and passed that savings on to clients, and led multimillion dollar projects.
Outside of his work, Mr. Quigley contributes to the local Rotary Club and Shriners, as well as various charitable organizations. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, he aligns himself with the Project Management Institute's Triangle Chapter as a Founding Member and the ITIL Community of Practice. An expert in his field, he completed his education in Systems Engineering from Fanshawe College, became ITIL, Oracle, A.S.M. and Microsoft Network certified, and received his Project Management training through IBM.
In recognition of his professional achievements, Mr. Quigley was nominated for various awards at Manulife, including the Global Leadership Impact Award, the Global Stars of Excellence Individual Contributor Award, and the Global Star of Excellence Team Award. Additionally, he received the Highest Contributor Award through Sunlife Financial Investments Division. While his career has been filled with highlights, he is most proud of implementing DevOps into Manulife, setting Manulife up with scorecards for evaluation purposes, and merging the systems of Sunlife and Clarica during the companies' merger. The cornerstone of his success lay in the incredible mentors he has had throughout the years. Looking toward the future, Mr. Quigley intends to expand upon his industry knowledge and begin consulting on a part-time basis before he eventually retires.
