    KEW GARDENS, NY, June 15, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Alessandra G. Greceanu has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Leveraging more than two decades of excellence in international law, Ms. Greceanu has earned distinction as a senior fellow with the Harvard University Advanced Leadership Initiative-ALI (2020-2021).

Prior to ALI, Ms. Alessandra Greceanu was a judge at the United Nations Dispute Tribunal HQ New York duty station (2012-2018), the first instance of the organization's internal justice system, having been elected by and appointed to this position by the U.N. General Assembly in April 2012 -the first eastern European and the then youngest judge in the UN judicial system. Her mandate expired in 2018 and she is proud to have received a plaque recognition from the United Nations.

An expert in international humanitarian law, civil, employment law, comparative law, intellectual property law, mediation/arbitration, and refugee law, she previously was a judge in the Romanian justice system for 18 years: Court of Appeal of Bucharest (2002-2012), Tribunal of Bucharest2000-2002) and Judecatoria sector1 (1993-2000).

Ms. Greceanu earned a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Law in Bucharest, Romania (1993) and was appointed judge at first instance Judecatoria sector1 in Bucharest in the same year. Following this achievement she attained a Master of Laws in magistracy from the National Institute of Magistracy (1994) and a Master's degree in refugee law from UNHCR Branch Office in Romania and Central European Academy of Science and Arts (2001).

After her retirement in 2019 she continues to serve as a trainer judge for ongoing training programs for judges at the National Institute for Magistracy in Bucharest on labor law and EU law. As a former refugee judge and expert on refugee law she remains focused on this important area of law collaborating occasionally pro bono with relevant NGOs', namely Jesuit Refugee Organization (JRS) in Bucharest, Romania.

Within the coming years, Ms. Greceanu intends to continue her training activities and diplomatic projects while collaborating with students to help build their careers. She also plans to create international programs for training international judges and prosecutors and to develop legal programs for preventing litigation and promote dispute resolution through mediation and arbitration.
