In conjunction with his work, Mr. Gainer has contributed to his community as a member of the local Chamber of Commerce, through which he worked with the government. Likewise, he also offered pro-bono seminars on financial literacy. Driven to stay abreast of changes in the field, he also aligns himself with the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and the Charles Drew Memorial Scholarship Foundation. An expert in his field, Mr. Gainer holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from Florida A&M University, College of Engineering. Subsequently, he received an MBA from Florida State University and became a Senior Executive Service (SES).
In light of his outstanding body of work, Mr. Gainer has been honored several times, earning the Naval Sea Systems Command Performance Award, two Naval Sea Systems Command Meritorious Award, the National Exchange Information Model Award for Best New Technology Development, and the Commissioners Award from the Department of Treasury. While his career has been filled with highlights, he takes the most pride in saving a billion-dollar warship, the U.S.S. Cole, where he was one of the lead technical authorities for the Navy Damage Control System. Looking ahead, Mr. Gainer intends to continue working for the federal government and helping to create the next generation of Senior Executive Leaders with the Federal Government.
