His inventive work and tailored outcomes have been highlighted in The New York Times Company and in Wedding Day Magazine.
TAYLORVILLE, IL, July 10, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Brian L. Coss has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Coss is an innovative filmmaker and the founder of Coss Creative, which he launched in 2013. A desire to work independently prompted him to transition out of a corporate role at Wells Fargo, and he has since achieved outstanding entrepreneurial success by exercising his passion and aptitude for photography. In his current leadership position, Mr. Coss deploys both administrative and creative talents to partner with a diverse client base seeking documentation of special events such as weddings.
Mr. Coss's transition to the wedding/photography industry was a result of what he calls "The Perfect Storm." His mother Cinda was a stay-at-home mom so Mr. Coss spent his childhood growing up with a parent at home and it had a huge impact on him and how he personally wanted to raise his children. When his wife Jackie was pregnant with their first Son Benny, his mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. As Mr. Coss explained, "Having life and death occurring simultaneously allowed me to have a unique perspective on life. Benny was born two months early. Four days after Benny was born, my mother passed away. This unique series of events allowed me to have the clarity and motivation I needed to quit my job, take my passion in photography and go professional, all while staying at home with Benny and now our second son Beau. Life is short and meant to be lived. Live doing what you love, taking risks, and serving people, all while building a legacy for my boys founded on God and faith."
Broad professional experiences and academic training contribute to Mr. Coss's ability to forge productive, long-term relationships with clients. He earned a Bachelor of Science in software engineering and applied mathematics from the University of Illinois Springfield in 2007 and a certificate in microcomputer applications and systems in 2015. Mr. Coss relies on accumulated proficiencies to manage his small business and to expertly promote brand awareness, and he was proud to be included in The Knot's Hall of Fame and Best of Weddings compilations.
Mr. Coss attributes his success to strategic marketing protocols and applied advertising efforts, as well as deep faith and persistence. He counts being featured in an article about the top five wedding photographers in the Chicago area as his most notable professional achievement thus far; additionally, his inventive work and tailored outcomes have been highlighted in The New York Times Company and in Wedding Day Magazine. Looking toward the future, Mr. Coss aims to persist in collaborating with clients to memorialize their special occasions and seek pathways to more regularly contribute to his community.
