After layoffs affected the industry heavily during the 1980s and 1990s, Mr. Cloman began to diversify his pursuits, starting a classic car repair and restoration business and purchasing rental properties. He is proud to have changed the lives of the families that he rents to and strives to be an active and connected property owner, managing inspections, contractor relationships, and tenant communications on his own. He considers selling a home to one of his former tenants to be among his greatest accomplishments and takes great pride in the opportunities that he is able to provide to his tenants. In order to meet the needs of the broadest range of tenants, Mr. Cloman works with the Philadelphia Housing Authority and Section Eight housing reimbursement, among other programs.
Outside his work in real estate, Mr. Cloman is active in his community and spent three years as vice president of his neighborhood homeowners' association.
