Mr. Espinoza Gudiño is an entrepreneur and the founder of Esfenix International, an importer of premium-quality flowers from South and Central America. Born in Ecuador, he studied at the Universidad de las Americas, earning degrees in business administration and marketing and commercial engineering with a focus in international business. In 2009, he pursued a Master of Business Administration in international business through Tongji University and Universidad Europea. Committed to constant growth and professional development, Mr. Espinoza Gudiño earned a project management and multiproject management certificate through the University of California Irvine in 2009, and holds an additional certificate in international business management.
Mr. Espinoza Gudiño began his business career in 2000 as a sales executive for E & G Associates, a position he would hold until 2010. In 2009, he served concurrently as an international intern for the Black & Decker Hardware and Home Improvement Group and Panasonic Avionics, a role that expanded his experience in the details of international entrepreneurship. Mr. Espinoza Gudiño went on to launch three Ecuador-based companies including COREGU S.A., where he served as general manager from 2010 until 2022. From 2010 until 2014, he concurrently taught sales and international business at the Universidad de las Americas Ecuador, and in 2021, he accepted a position as Director of International Relations for the Ecuadorian American Chamber of Commerce in Texas. Due to long-range effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. Espinoza Gudiño was forced to close his Ecuador-based businesses, and in 2021 he established Esfenix International as a way to restart his financial future while honoring his success and business connections in Ecuador. Esfenix International imports roses and other high-quality floral to Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas, and employs six employees in Ecuador and the United States to coordinate supply chain logistics and shipping.
In the coming years, Mr. Espinoza Gudiño hopes to grow Esfenix International into the largest floral supplier and importer in Texas. As a leader in the local business community, Mr. Espinoza Gudiño partners with local Hispanic businesses to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship, and is active in local charitable outreach initiatives. He credits his success to his faith, discipline, and the support of his family, and considers his companies and the opportunities that they have created for others to be his greatest achievement. In his free time, Mr. Espinoza Gudiño enjoys staying fit by swimming and is an avid martial artist with a background in taekwondo, karate, kickboxing and krav maga.
