Mr. Hall, president and chief executive officer of AXES.ai, is recognized as a futurist and tech guru by the international media. A career tech entrepreneur, he is highly regarded as a two-time TEDx speaker and innovator in the fields of technology and neuroscience. His company, AXES.ai, works in more than 40 countries toward the eradication of money laundering, addictive gambling and illicit activities through real-time blockchain-based data collection, artificial intelligence and cashless solutions. In other career-related endeavors, Mr. Hall is the chairman of the International Gaming Standards Association and serves as a design thinking board advisor to the University of California.
Drawing on expertise in cloud computing and transaction management, Mr. Hall joined the AXES.ai board in 2011 to help the new company gain its footing. When the company found its first client in the casino industry, it was determined that a strong leader with expertise in technology was needed, so Mr. Hall was asked to lead the company. Previously, Mr. Hall held various leadership positions with DEQ Systems Corp., Inspeck and MultiHexa. He taught in the management of information and new technology department at the École Nationale d'Administration Publique, and, from 1985 to 1994, served as an officer in the Department of National Defence.
Prior to embarking upon his professional journey, Mr. Hall earned a Bachelor of Arts in Canadian studies, with honors, from the Royal Military College of Canada in 1991. He went on to obtain a master's degree in public administration from the École Nationale d'Administration Publique in 1996, and, later in his career, completed doctoral studies coursework in industrial and organizational psychology from Walden University. He also holds an honorary doctorate from TIUA Business School and has achieved certifications from the Government Blockchain Association, Morter Institute, Demartini Institute and Microsoft Certified Training Program.
Noted for his achievements in the field, Mr. Hall was named among the 25 People to Watch for in 2023 by the Global Gaming Business Magazine and received a 2011 International Influencer Award from the Québec Chamber of Commerce. Other awards have included 1998 Technology Personality of the Year from the Young Chamber of Commerce Québec.
As a commitment to his field, Mr. Hall is active with several industry-related organizations. In addition to his leadership role as chairman of the International Gaming Standards Association, he is a member of the association's board of directors, chairman of its Blockchain Committee, and a past vice chairman, treasurer and secretary to the board. Additionally, he sits on the board of the Government Blockchain Association, where he is also a member of the Standards & Certification Committee.
Mr. Hall and his wife, Josee Lamothe, have one child, Charles Edward Hall. In their free time, they enjoy relaxing at the ocean.
