Mr. Azwell deployed a deep passion for the sciences to forge a successful presence in the chemistry and engineering fields. Since 2022, he has excelled as the Brink™ Technical Manager and previously as the senior chemical engineering consultant, Brink Mist Eliminators, with Elessent Clean Technologies. Mr. Azwell began his career with Monsanto and the division he works for has transitioned ownership over the years being known as MECS, DuPont-MECS and now Elessent Clean Technologies. Along the way he has contributed to each of these entities across his productive career. In 2015, he was a senior consultant with MECS after transitioning from the role of senior process engineer, which he fulfilled from 2011 to 2015. Notably, between 2017 and 2018, he held a concurrent role with MECS as the acting product technology manager. Mr. Azwell's tenure with MECS began in 1995 when he was recruited as a process engineer, and he thrived in that position through 2011.
A belief in the power of education proved foundational to Mr. Azwell's pursuit of teaching opportunities, and he was honored to serve as an astronomy instructor at Pattonville School District, Maryland Heights, MO from 2005 through 2014. Mr. Azwell also proudly completed a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Mississippi State University in 1995 and enrolled in pre-engineering coursework at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in 1991.
Mr. Azwell counts raising his children as his most noteworthy accomplishment. Professionally, he is gratified with his collaborative role in securing several patents; to this end, he co-invented five patents that have advanced industry technology and been adopted globally, including the Fiber Collection Media Strip for a Mist Eliminator in 2018. He also helped craft and launch a revolutionary product known as the AutoDrain, a device that automatically initiates draining of a style of mist eliminator without need of attached piping. Moreover, Mr. Azwell is humbled to have been invited to share his knowledge about sulfuric acid and other chemical processes as a guest speaker at conferences around the world, including in China, Germany, Canada, Great Britain, and Austria.
Mr. Azwell is equally as devoted to civic service and to the Overland Church of Christ, where he has served as an elder since 2017. He was also an appointed deacon in the church from 2006 to 2017. Mr. Azwell and his wife plan to persist in their commitment to broader community outreach through their church and to sustain their contributions to various local charities.
