In this capacity, he is responsible for stress and wellness management consulting for individuals and corporate employees, creating courses and workshops to help his clients effectively handle their daily stressors to achieve wellness, professional success and satisfaction. Prior to this role, Dr. Adib served as the president of PreventionCare LLC from 2006 to 2015.
Dr. Adib began his career working as a cardiothoracic surgeon at Meriter Health Services and Meriter Heart Hospital, now known as UnityPoint Health/Meriter, from 1979 until 2014. During this time, he was also active as department chair, president of medical staff, director at Meriter Hospital board, and medical director of Bloodless Medicine and Surgery program. Dr. Adib also served on the board of directors of Meriter Foundation and Meriter Medical Group.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Adib pursued an education at the University of Tehran Faculty of Medicine where he obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree. Subsequently, he completed his residency in general surgery and his fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As a commitment to his field, Dr. Adib has been board certified in thoracic surgery by American Board of Thoracic Surgery and licensed as a stress and wellness consultant diplomate by the Canadian Institute of Stress/Hans Selye Foundation.
Long dedicated to civic advocacy, Dr. Adib has served as a nurse residency educator at Meriter Health Services and a volunteer field trip pilot and educator at Edgewood College-Madison. He has also volunteered many talks and workshops on stress and wellness management to individuals and organizations. Reflecting on a long career, he attributes much of his success to his perseverance, determination and a drive to constantly learn and improve. Looking forward, Dr. Adib aspires to learn such languages as Italian and French.
