Prior to obtaining his current role, he worked as senior director and head of biologics development and manufacturing at AVEO Oncology, the director of the external manufacturing and supply chain for ImmunoGen Inc., and as the associate director and principal engineer of drug product manufacturing sciences and technology for Shire.
During the early stages of his career, Dr. Prasanna gained valuable expertise in process development, formulation development, and engineering with Shire, Pfizer, and RTP Pharma. Alongside his work, he contributes to his community as a volunteer at McGill University. Over the years, he has also dedicated himself to the Enclave Condominium, CherryCircle Software, Life Science Connect, the Parenteral Drug Association, and various local food organizations. Driven to remain aware of changes in the field, Dr. Prasanna aligns himself with the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the Parenteral Drug Association.
An expert in his field, Dr. Prasanna earned a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Engineering in chemical engineering from McGill University, as well as a Doctor of Philosophy in chemical engineering from Tufts University. Throughout the course of his career, he has also expanded upon his knowledge, earning a certificate of completion in management skills for new managers, participating in Toastmasters, and becoming a certified Oz facilitator.
Drawing on his vast breadth of knowledge, Dr. Prasanna has spoken for various organizations, including the New England Chapter of the Parenteral Drug Association and the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals.
While his career has been filled with highlights, Dr. Prasanna is most proud to have found success in his chosen vocation, whose genesis began as a high school joke. Though hard work and dedication have brought him far, he credits his success to the support of his family, as well as his desire to help others.
