Mark Reaves, AIA, has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

    FARMINGTON HILLS, MI, August 23, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mark Reaves, AIA, LEED® AP BD+C, NCARB, has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Leveraging nearly 30 years of professional success, Mr. Reaves is an accomplished architect affiliated with Integrated Design Solutions since 2011. After serving the organization as the assistant director of architecture, he was promoted to director of athletics and rec sports in 2020. In this new role as vice president, Mr. Reaves follows in the company's mission to establish lasting relationships with clients while bringing their visions and projects to life.

Among various professional responsibilities, Mr. Reaves performs managerial responsibilities while leading daily design initiatives. He also collaborates with various stakeholder groups, including K-12 school districts, parents, coaches, and athletic directors, and constantly seeks new prospects for the firm. Being able to marry his convictions for his professional opinions with his ability to listen to stakeholder feedback, he notes, has played a significant role in his professional journey and has also helped to facilitate his company's success.

A seasoned architectural designer, Mr. Reaves excels in programming and planning for athletics and recreational sports. Throughout his career, he has been entrusted by various organizations, including the University of Notre Dame, to upgrade its stadium just over five years ago. A vast undertaking, which took a year to complete and involved renovating the team locker rooms and its facilities, Mr. Reaves's company was subsequently tasked with building the institution's Irish Athletics Center, which was completed in 2019 and is recognized as the largest indoor football practice facility in the country. As a coach and passionate fan of baseball, Mr. Reaves aspires to design projects for major league baseball teams in the future. Other trusted partners in his expanding list of clients include University of Michigan, Michigan State University, Eastern Michigan University, Oakland University, University of Detroit Mercy, and Purdue University.

Attributing much of his success to the experiences and skills he learned early on, Mr. Reaves formerly worked for SHW Group (now Stantec Inc.) as a senior designer from 2006 to 2011. He also held the role of staff designer at TMP Architecture Inc. between 2000 and 2006 and was a designer and contractor for Keystone Construction from 1993 to 1999.

Mr. Reaves has been active with numerous civic organizations, including the Boy Scouts of America, where he has since become recognized as an Eagle Scout. He also volunteers his time coaching local baseball and softball teams.

A graduate of Lawrence Technological University, Mr. Reaves earned a Bachelor of Architecture in 2000 and a Master in Architecture in 2004. The university notably granted him an Earl W. Pellerin Traveling Fellowship in 2005. Highly qualified in his field, Mr. Reaves earned credentials as a licensed architect through the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs. He also received accreditation as a LEED AP for building design and construction through the U.S. Green Building Council and certification through the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. Mr. Reaves remains active as a member of Lambda Iota Tau and the Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society in Architecture and Allied Arts.

Mr. Reaves received several awards for his projects, including an American Public Works Association Project of the Year Award, a Parks Facility Design Award from the Michigan Recreation and Park Association, and an International Interior Design Association Award in the wellness category for the Hawk Community Center renovation.
