With more than 40 years of experience as an educator and academic administrator to his credit, he specializes in overseeing the evaluation, recruitment and retention of faculty members and graduate assistants for the aforementioned university department. Dr. Hadidi also focuses on managing his department's budget and selecting faculty members for promotions or tenured positions.
Prior to his appointment as the dean of the College of Management, Dr. Hadidi excelled as a professor and as the head of the management information systems department at the University of Illinois Springfield between 2016 and 2019. Alongside his primary professional responsibilities, he currently serves as a board member for the Rotary Club of Minneapolis and the Society for the Advancement of Management, which is among the oldest professional management societies in the United States. Throughout his career, Dr. Hadidi has also contributed more than 60 articles to a host of scholarly journals and he has shared his research at conferences and symposiums all over the world.
In 2016, the University of Illinois Springfield celebrated Dr. Hadidi with the Faculty Excellence Award. He had previously been recognized with the Hanson Professional Services Faculty Scholar Award on behalf of the aforementioned institution. In addition to his dedication to his local community, Dr. Hadidi attributes a great deal of his success to his father, who taught him the value of an exceptional work ethic at a young age. He is extremely proud to have helped develop the University of Illinois Springfield's first online program for completing a Master of Science in management information systems in 1989.
