In conjunction with his work, he dedicates himself to his community as the vice president of Fil-Am Civic Action International, which caters to the needs of the Filipino-American community in Las Vegas. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Mr. Buo remains professionally aligned with the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Nevada Water Environment Association, the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, and the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation.
An expert in his field, Mr. Buo holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Manuel L. Quezon University, Manila, Philippines and completed coursework in industrial engineering and management in the Philippines. Subsequently, he expanded upon his professional knowledge, earning an MBA from Fontbonne University in St. Louis, Missouri, USA Chapter. In light of his outstanding body of work, he was recognized by the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers USA and earned the Father of the Year Award. While his career has been filled with highlights, he takes the most pride in being hired right out of college and becoming a college professor at the age of 22. Another standout moment in his career was securing his license when he moved to the United States. The cornerstone of his success lay in his dedication, hard work, and positivity, as well as his drive to fulfill his dreams. Within the next five to ten years, Mr. Buo aims to return to the Philippines after he retires so that he may share his knowledge with others in his home country.
