Mr. Peregrim is distinguished for 44 years of dedication to the independent grocery field. As president of Byron's Village Market and Cambridge Village Market, he is charged with overseeing all aspects of the businesses, including inventory, staffing and customer relationships.
Mr. Peregrim first entered his profession in 1979 starting out as a stock clerk and moving up to assistant store manager and then store manager. After the passing of Mr. Sulli in 1990, Mr. Peregrim took over the running of the corporation and five years later, in 1995, he bought Sulli's Supermarket Inc. and changed the name to Byron's Village Market. Shortly after that, a boom in retail stores occurred 10 miles away which almost led to the closure of Byron's Village Market. After many years of dedication and hard work Mr. Peregrim and his staff rose above the loss of retail sales and built their sales back close to where they once were. This led Mr. Peregrim and his team to buy a second store in 2010, and today, the stores are stronger than ever.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Peregrim earned a Regents Diploma from the city of Greenwich, New York. He is the proud winner of a 2023 Progressive Grocer Outstanding Independent Award. Looking toward the future, he is excited to retire and spend more time traveling.
