Ms. Kirshbaum got her introduction to music arts management working for Harold Holt and Ingpen and Williams in London before moving to ICM Artists (now Opus 3 Artists) in New York. As founder and president of Kirshbaum Associates Inc., which she established in 1980, Ms. Kirshbaum earned a reputation for initiative and creativity and gradually built a stellar roster of both young and established artists. Her artist management, public relations and arts consulting agency is headquartered in New York City and specializes in providing services to classical musicians and presenters. As a pioneer in the industry, she is one of only a few managers of classical music artists to also incorporate public relations and marketing into her business. Ms. Kirshbaum's extensive roster of management clients over the past 40 years includes ensembles large and small; composers; conductors; singers; and soloists on the violin, cello, guitar and piano. As a publicist, she has worked with such distinguished organizations as The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the Colorado Music Festival, 92Y, and the La Jolla Chamber Music Society, as well as numerous symphony orchestras including the Israel Philharmonic, New Jersey, Seattle, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Detroit, and San Diego symphony orchestras.

Among her most memorable projects are major tours for three exceptional artists: the preeminent pianist, conductor, pedagogue and lecturer, Sir András Schiff, performing all the major piano works of Bach, Haydn and Beethoven; the virtuoso violinist and violist Pinchas Zukerman in a round-the-world 50th Birthday tour; and the great pianist Peter Serkin, with whom she created "The Serkin Commissions," a series of commissioned work by 10 composers.

Beyond managing Kirshbaum Associates, Inc., Ms. Kirshbaum has become recognized in the field by presenting before various professional groups and serving on competition judging panels. She is a respected member of the Association of Performing Arts Professionals (formerly Association of Performing Arts Presenters) and the League of American Orchestras (formerly American Symphony Orchestra League). Ms. Kirshbaum is also a member and former board member of Chamber Music America. Throughout her career, Ms. Kirshbaum has supported numerous industry-related galas and has been a strong supporter of various nonprofit organizations, including Save the Children and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Ms. Kirshbaum was born into a musically-gifted family and holds a Bachelor of Arts in piano performance with honors from the University of Texas at Austin. She continues to draw ongoing inspiration and support from her immediate and extended family, which includes a brother who is recognized as one of the world's top cellists and serves as the Piatigorsky Chair at the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California.
